Swimming South Africa Announces Strategic Partnership with Global Sports Brand FILA
Rosebank, Johannesburg 4 July 2025 - Swimming South Africa (SSA) is proud to announce a new and exciting partnership with FILA, the iconic global Italian sportswear brand renowned for its legacy of excellence, innovation, and style in international sporting arenas.

This strategic collaboration marks a significant milestone for the federation, as FILA has come on board as the official apparel sponsor. The agreement encompasses athletes competing in the disciplines of Swimming, Water Polo, Artistic Swimming, Open Water Swimming, and Diving, at the upcoming World Aquatics Championships, taking place from 11 July to 13 August 2025.

The partnership was formally announced today at a media briefing held in Rosebank, where Mr. Alan Fritz, President of Swimming South Africa, officially unveiled the sponsorship. Mr. Fritz expressed the federation’s deep appreciation to FILA for their confi dence in and commitment to South African aquatic sports.

“We are incredibly proud to align with a global brand of FILA’s stature,” said Mr. Fritz. “This partnership comes at a pivotal time as we prepare our national teams for the World Championships and look ahead to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. It is our hope that this collaboration will grow into a longterm relationship that extends beyond apparel, encompassing broader athlete support and innovation in high performance gear.”

Mr. Fritz went on to reaffirm Swimming South Africa’s status as the leading sporting federation in the country, particularly regarding podium finishes at Olympic Games, World Championships, and continental competitions.

“Our athletes have consistently delivered world lity class performances across multiple aquatic disciplines, and we remain steadfast in our mission to uphold and exceed that standard.
