Matt Sates and Chad Le Clos continued to add gold medals to their tally with another two solid performance on the second day of the Berlin Swimming World Cup
Sates was out on his own this time in the men 200m IM to clock up his second best time of 1:51,62 and win by over 2 seconds ahead of Hubert Kos from Hungary and Danas Rapsys of Lithuania.

He ended a fraction off his SA mark of 1:51,45 set in the same pool last year.

Then it was a more confident Chad Le Clos smiling all the way as he returned to his old way of racing! Holding back and finishing faster than anyone in the race made the race look easy as he left his opposition trailing on the final 50m of the men 200m butterfly with a fast 1:49,62.

In the morning heats, Milla Drakopoulos raced to a B qualifying time for the World Short Course Championships in December with a solid 1:00,03 in the women 100m backstroke - so close to that magical 1 minute barrier! Carissa van Rooyen was also under her personal best in the same heat with a 1:00,74.

More B qualifying times were achieved in the heats by Clayton Jimmie in the men 100m freestyle with a 48,68sec while Simon Haddon also dipped under the QT with a 48,81sec.

The Berlin World Cup concludes today (Sunday) and moves to Toronto, Canada, next weekend and concludes in Indianapolis, USA, on the 3-5 November.
