SRSA and gsport Announce Historic Partnership
Sport and Recreation South Africa (SRSA) and gsport4girls have announced a historic joint initiative that will see the two parties collaborate to shine the spotlight on South African women's sport during the month of August.

The partnership between SRSA and gsport will ensure a fitting celebration of the 10th gsport Awards, and this year South Africa’s longest running women’s sports Awards has been included in the government-wide August Women's month programme for the first time ever.

Sports Minister, Fikile Mbalula said:  "This month, the 61st anniversary of Women’s Day, its an honor for me to join hands with gsport4girls. Our women in Sport deserve to be treated equally and gsport has been a great voice for women, bestowing deserved honors to gallant women in sport who strove against all forms of oppression is commendable.

As the Ministry and Department of Sport and Recreation South Africa we will continue to support and join hands with those who have taken the plight of women to heart. We salute all women; we bow to your gallant fighting spirit.  Wa Thintha Bafazi, Wa Thintha imbokodo,” Minister Mbalula added.
gsport Founder, Kass Naidoo, said: "On behalf of the gsport Trust, I would like to thank the Minister for believing in what gsport does, and supporting the initiative in its celebration of 10 years of the gsport Awards.”

Pioneer women’s sports sponsor, SPAR, has been announced as Naming Rights partner for the gsport Awards for the fourth year running.
“SPAR came on board in 2012, and since then gsport has been able to grow the event and enhance the experience every year, to do justice to lauding individuals who are doing their bit to raise the profile of women in sport in SA", Naidoo added.
“It is a privilege for SPAR to be part of the gsport4girls award ceremony for the past three years,” said SPAR Marketing Executive, Mike Prentice. “We mostly sponsor women’s sport and have for the past 25 years, hence we are very passionate about acknowledging women who have achieved great results on the sporting front.”
gsport also confirmed WorldWide Sport as its Branding Partner, Estee Lauder as its Beauty Partner, and Big Five Duty Free as its Luxury Gifting Partner.
The 2015 SPAR gsport Awards will take place on Friday, 14 August at the prestigious Wanderers Club as an invite-only Gala Awards Dinner, where the cream of South African women’s sport is expected to gather and celebrate the great strides made over the past decade.
